We are a neighborhood-based center creating community through the power of the music, art, food, and joy!
We are neighbors and community members of all ages, backgrounds, and orientations with a common interest in community building through the arts, advocacy, and commitment to resilient lives and environments.
What Happens Here
For artists and performers, Cyprian’s Center offers a venue with excellent acoustics and lighting, studio space, exhibition galleries, and instruction. For community organizers and resilience advocates, we are a hub of collaboration for generating ideas and testing strategies on the streets and in the community. We hope to engage everyone who seeks challenge, collaboration, sociability, and innovation. Together we create community. We host concerts, classes for kids and adults, exhibitions, theatrical productions, cooking classes, and programs that community members suggest and help organize. ARC also works with several community organizations to develop and implement projects and services on-site and in the neighborhood. Various spaces and rooms in the building are available on a rental basis.
Set in St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church, Cyprian’s Center is a non-denominational program located in the North of Panhandle neighborhood of the Western Addition. We are near Lone Mountain and the University of San Francisco. The building, located at the intersections of Turk & Lyon, is open for center events, concerts, meetings, presentations, classes, cooking events, and programs. We also host funerals, weddings and worship services for area churches.
